Contest Official Rules

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCE OF WINNING. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.

By participating in the “NBC Fall Line Up Launch Party trip to Hollywood” Contest (the “Contest”), entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the Decisions of CBS Radio East Inc. (the “CBS Radio”) d/b/a KLSX (“KLSX” or the “Station”), 5670 Wilshire Blvd, Suite 200, Los Angeles, CA, which are final and binding in all respects.  NBC Universal, Inc (“NBC”) is not responsible for the collection, submission, or processing of entries, the administration of the contest or the selection of winners.  CBS Radio, KLSX, and NBC will collectively be referred to as the “Sponsors”).

1.         How to Enter the Contest:

a.                  The “NBC Fall Line Up Launch Party Trip to Hollywood” Contest (the “Contest”) will begin on Monday, August 18th, 2008 at 6:00 am Pacific Time (“PT”) and end on Sunday, September 8th, 2008 at 12:00 pm PT (“Contest Period”).

 

b.                  To participate in the contest, log on to on of the participating radio station websites (KLSX “The Adam Carolla Show” www.971freefm.com and www.adamcarolla.com , WXRK “The Opie and Anthony Show” www.923krock.com and www.opieandanthony.com , WJMK “The Steve Dahl Show” www.wjmk.com , WYSP “The Jennifer Reed Show” www.94wysp.com , WJFK “The Junkies” www.wjfk.com , KLLI www.live1053.com  and click on the “NBC Fall Line Up Launch Party trip to Hollywood” logo and you will be directed to the microsite www.nbcfalllaunchparty.com during the Contest Period to register with the following information: first and last name, complete address, including zip code, daytime and evening telephone numbers, date of birth, and a valid email address. Only one internet entry per person and one internet entry per email address is permitted.  Internet entries will be deemed made by the authorized account holder of the email address submitted at the time of entry.  The authorized account holder is the natural person who is assigned to the email address by an internet access provider, online service provider or other organization that is responsible for assigning email addresses or the domain associated with the submitted email address. For purposes of these Official Rules, “receipt” of an online entry will be solely determined when the www.nbcfalllaunchparty.com web server records the entry information.  Any automated computer receipt (such as one confirming delivery of email) does not constitute actual receipt of an entry form for purposes of these Official rules.  Use of any device to automate entry is prohibited. All entries must be received by September 7, 2008 at 11:59pm PT.  The Sponsors are not responsible for entries not received due to difficulty accessing the internet, service outage or delays, computer difficulties or other technological glitches.

c.        One (1) entry per person.

2.         Eligibility Restrictions:

a.                   The Contest is open to all residents of California, Oregon, Arizona, Nevada, Washington, Maine, Idaho, Kansas, New York, Massachusetts, Ohio, Louisiana, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia who are 18 years of age or older and have a valid driver’s license.  Employees of KLSX, WXRK, WJMK, WYSP, WJFK, KLLI  (the “Stations”), their licensees, CBS Radio, NBC Universal Inc, their parent corporations, subsidiaries and affiliates, advertising agencies, participating sponsors/promotional partners, other radio stations and the members of their immediate families and/or households are ineligible to participate or win.

b.                  Contestants are required to provide truthful information and the Sponsors will reject and delete any entry that it discovers to be false or fraudulent.  The Sponsors will disqualify any entry from individuals who do not meet the eligibility requirements, and the Sponsors will also delete any entry received from persons under the age of 13 in compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act.

3.         Prizes:

                   Ten (10) Grand Prizes will be awarded for this Contest and consists of the following: each Grand Prize is round trip coach airfare for two (2) from the closest major international Airport inside the continental United States, two (2) nights double occupancy at The Renaissance Hotel Hollywood, 1755 North Highland Ave, Hollywood, CA 90028 on September 17th, 2008 and September 18th, 2008 and two (2) tickets to the NBC Fall Launch Party at The Boulevard 3 Night Club on September 18th, 2008 from 6:00 pm to 11:00 pm PT. Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”) is $1,800.00.  If a winner resides within 100 miles of Los Angles, the Sponsors reserve the right to substitute ground transportation in lieu of air transportation.  All other costs not specifically stated herein, including, but not limited to, taxes, tips and ground transportation, are the responsibility of the winner.  Taxes are solely the responsibility of the winner.  Winner and travel companion must travel on the same itinerary and are responsible for obtaining all required travel documents.  In addition, travel companion of Winner must be 18 years of age or older.  Winner and travel companion are responsible for obtaining travel insurance (and all other forms of insurance) where applicable, at their option, and hereby acknowledge that the Sponsors have not and will not obtain or provide travel insurance or any other form of insurance.  Winner may be required to present a valid credit card upon hotel check-in to cover any incidental expenses incurred during stay.  Winner and travel companion must sign and return a Publicity, Liability Waiver and Travel Release form prior to traveling.  Tickets are subject to terms and conditions as specified by issuer.  All travelers must possess required travel documents (e.g. valid government issued photo I.D.) prior to departure.

                  All prizes or prize certificates may be picked up or mailed from the offices of KLSX at the address listed in Section 5(h). Any prize or prize certificate not claimed within five (5) days of winning will be forfeited by the winner.  To claim the prize you must fill out the liability releases provided by KLSX and return the information public notorized via mail within the time frame.  Prize certificates will be e mailable or be able to be faxed to prize winner if needed. In the event that a prize or prize certificate is mailed to the winner, it will be with the prior written consent of the winner and therefore, winner assumes the risk of its arrival. KLSX is not responsible for the safe arrival of a prize or prize certificate.

                   There is no substitution, transfer, or cash equivalent for prizes, except that Sponsors may, solely at its discretion, substitute prizes of comparable value or cash due to prize unavailability or where required by law. The prizes are expressly limited to the item(s) listed above and do not include taxes. Other restrictions may apply.

4.         Selection of Winners:

a.                   Decisions of the Sponsors with respect to the Contest are final.

b.                  Ten (10) Grand Prize winners will be randomly selected from all eligible entries on Monday, September 8th, 2008 at approximately 12:00 pm PT. Attempts to reach the Grand Prize winner by telephone will begin immediately following the random selection of the winner. If a winner cannot be reached by Thursday, September 11th, 2008 at 9:00 am PT, an alternate winner will be randomly selected from the remaining eligible entries received.

b.         If a winner and his/her guest are not available to travel on September 17th and 18th, 2008,the entire prize will be forfeited and another winner will be randomly selected from the remaining entries. The winners will have 24 hours from time of contact by the Sponsors advising his/her selection to inform the Sponsors of his/her availability for specified dates of travel and to produce a government-issued photo I.D. to verify his/her eligibility

5.         Conditions:

a.                   Payments of all federal, state and local taxes are solely the responsibility of the winners.  Winners will be required to complete and submit an IRS Form W-9 with the winner’s full Social Security Number or the equivalent for receipt of any prize valued at $600 or more or for any prizes awarded by a CBS Radio station in a calendar year with an aggregate value of $600 or more. Failure to submit a complete W-9 or equivalent will result in forfeiture of the prize.

b.                  By participating in the Contest, the winner agrees to have their name, voice, or likeness used in any advertising or broadcasting material relating to this Contest, without additional financial or other compensation, and where legal, to sign a publicity release confirming such consent prior to acceptance of the prize.

c.                   Prior to receiving any prize or prize certificate, the Sponsors in its sole discretion may require Contest to sign an Event Participation liability release prior to participation in the Challenge, agreeing to hold the Sponsors, their corporate parents, subsidiary and affiliated corporations, and the officers, shareholders, directors, directors, employees, agents and representatives of each of them harmless against any and all claims or liability arising directly or indirectly from the prize or participation in the Contest.

d.                  The Sponsors, in their sole discretion, reserve the right to disqualify any person tampering with the entry process, the operation of the Station’s Web Site or is otherwise in violation of the rules.  The Sponsors further reserve the right to cancel, terminate or modify the contest if it is not capable of completion as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention or technical failures of any sort.

e.                   The Sponsors reserve the right to make changes in the rules of the Contest, including the substitution of a prize of equivalent value, which will become effective upon announcement. If due to circumstances beyond the control of the Sponsors, any competition or prize-related event is delayed, rescheduled, postponed, cancelled, or has a change of venue, Sponsors reserve the right, but not the obligation, to cancel or modify the Contest and shall not be required to award a substitute prize.

f.                    Failure to comply with the Contest rules may result in a Contestant’s disqualification at the sole discretion of the Sponsors.

g.                   The Sponsors are not responsible for typographical or other errors in the printing, the offering or the administration of the Contest, or in the announcement of a prize.

h.                   Copies of the written Contest rules and a list of winners (when complete) are available during regular business hours at the main studio of KLSX, 5670 Wilshire Blvd. Suite 200 Los Angeles, CA  90036.

6.         INTERNET SWEEPSTAKES PRIVACY POLICY

a.                   By use of this website and by entering the Contest, you agree to the Station’s Web Site Terms of Use Agreement and to the use of your personal information as described in the Privacy Policy located at: www.nbcfalllaunchparty.com.
